Bason Aluminium, based in Malta, has been providing aluminium and construction-related components like tempered glass, garage doors, and skylights for over 30 years. The company's growth in the local market is attributed to its introduction of innovative new products to the Maltese Islands. Today, Bason Aluminium occupies a three-story building in Mriehel, Malta's industrial heartland, with over 1,000 sqm of fabrication and display area.
Due to the company's longstanding history, its logo and branding needed to be modernised to align with current trends. The company approached us with a request to develop a modern logo and branding that would effectively position them in the market. We responded by recreating their logo and developing a comprehensive set of brand guidelines that would serve as a cohesive and consistent representation of their brand identity.
The previous logo's thin design made it challenging to discern on smaller screens and in smaller formats. In response, we developed a bold and clean solution that is highly visible and easily recognisable.
Throughout the logo creation process, we aimed to incorporate the "B" mark into the design while also exploring typographical elements. The examples above illustrate some of the various stages of our design process.

As we surveyed the market, we discovered that no other brands were utilising a bright red colour scheme. Given its powerful and highly visible nature, we decided to incorporate this colour into the logo design.
We blended the symbol of the letter "B" with the light glare effect from the aluminium’s surface. By blending these two elements, we arrived at the final design depicted above, which boasts a clean and attractive look.
The full-coloured logo with its black and red colour scheme boasts high visibility on light backgrounds, while the monochromatic or one-coloured version performs equally well against a red or black backdrop.
We aimed to create a branding strategy that was sleek and simple to allow the logo to take centre stage and shine in its full glory. The use of bright red colour in the logo design effectively captures attention and reinforces the brand's powerful identity.
